JAPAN  (Nihon, Nippon)

Japan is the 4th island country in the Asia and the largest island country in East Asia. It is bordered by the Sea of Japan to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east, and spans more than 3,000 kilometers along the coast of the continent from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Philippine Sea in the south. Japan has to 6,852 islands extending along the Pacific coast. It is over 3,000 km long from the Sea of Okhotsk to the Philippine Sea in the Pacific Ocean. The country, including all of the islands it controls, lies between latitudes 24° and 46°N, and longitudes 122° and 146°E. The five main islands, from north to south, are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Okinawa. The Ryukyu Islands, which include Okinawa, are a chain to the south of Kyushu. The Nanpo Islands are south and east of the main islands of Japan. Together they are often known as the Japanese Archipelago.

Pre-Requisites for Study Visa

A Nepalese student who has completed his/her 12 years of total formal education can apply for four sessions in a year (January/ April/ July/ October).

  • Minimum Secondary Level Passed.
  • Above 18 Years Old.
  • Experience Certificate (In case of Academic Gap)
  • Should take 150 hours of Basic Japanese language course in Nepal.
  • The person sponsoring the student must have account maintained in his/her name starting from 18 lakhs and above.

Duration of language course in Japanese schools: 

  • April intake-2 years of course
  • July intake- 1 year and 9 months course
  • October intake-1 year and 6 months course
  • January intake- 1 year and 3 months of course

Required documents for COE:

  • Application Form of applying  Language School with SOP*
  • Applicants Photos (4*3 cm)
  • Academic Documents (above +2)*
  • Verification from HSEB or T.U. & MOE (above +2) - (if required)*
  • Verification from related College if there different in college name, address or stamp, logo*
  • Recommendation Letter from College(If Bachelors running)*
  • Experience Certificate (In case of Academic Gap)*
  • Language Certificate at least 150 hours.
  • Financial Documents (Bank/Co-operative)*
  • Administrative Documents*

Rural Municipality /Metropolitan/Sub-Metropolitan Documents (Consists of 7 Paper) which are:
